B2B Marketing

B2B Marketing
Privacy Notice.

This notice explains how NextEdge uses limited publicly available business contact information for targeted B2B marketing and business development. NextEdge creates AI imagery, architectural renders, planning visuals, CGI-style imagery, before/after images and walkthrough videos for architecture, property and boutique residential development projects. We use this information in a proportionate, business-focused way and provide a clear way to opt out of future marketing.

Who We Are

NextEdge is an AI imagery and architectural visualisation business working with property, architecture and development teams.

Business name NextEdge
Website nextedge.uk
Contact email contact@nextedge.uk

What This Notice Covers

This notice applies when NextEdge identifies and contacts relevant businesses or professionals who may have a legitimate business interest in architectural imagery, planning visuals, marketing CGI or walkthrough videos.

This page is specifically about B2B outreach and lead generation — not general website browsing. The workflow is focused on boutique residential projects of four dwellings or fewer only.

Who We May Identify

NextEdge may identify and contact the following types of businesses and professionals:

  • Residential architects
  • Bespoke residential architecture practices
  • Planning consultants working on residential schemes
  • Boutique residential developers
  • Small housebuilders
  • Residential design-and-build firms
  • Land agents
  • Estate agents marketing building plots or development land
  • Land promoters
  • Residential conversion specialists
  • Self-build and custom-build specialists

NextEdge does not intentionally use private homeowners as outreach targets. For single-property planning applications, the workflow prioritises the architect, planning agent or relevant business contact rather than the private applicant.

Why We Use This Information

We use this information to:

  • Identify relevant businesses and professionals
  • Understand whether a public residential project may need architectural imagery or video
  • Avoid irrelevant or untargeted outreach
  • Personalise a short B2B introduction using a public business or project fact
  • Maintain a record of where information came from
  • Manage opt-out requests
  • Avoid contacting people who have objected

We do not use this information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Lawful Basis

Where we process personal data for B2B marketing, we rely on legitimate interests.

NextEdge has a legitimate interest in promoting its architectural imagery and visualisation services to relevant businesses and professionals who may have a commercial interest in those services.

Safeguards we apply

  • Data is limited and business-related
  • Outreach is targeted and relevant, not bulk or untargeted
  • Private homeowners are not used as outreach contacts
  • Company-level and role-based contact details are preferred
  • Named business contacts are only used where publicly listed
  • Every outreach email includes a clear opt-out route
  • Opt-outs are respected immediately

We do not use private homeowner details for marketing outreach.

How We Contact People

NextEdge may send a short B2B email where there is a relevant business or project connection. The email will identify NextEdge clearly, explain why the recipient may be relevant, link to the portfolio and this notice, and include a simple opt-out line.

The following opt-out line (or similar wording) appears in all outreach emails:

You can view our portfolio and B2B Marketing Privacy Notice at nextedge.uk. If you'd prefer not to receive emails from us, just reply "unsubscribe" and we won't contact you again.

How Long We Keep Information

We do not keep B2B marketing information indefinitely. We review, refresh, delete or suppress records according to their relevance and status.

Record type Retention period
Cold lead — no response 12 months from collection or last verification
Contacted lead — no response 12 months from first outreach
Active planning or project lead Until the planning or project trigger expires, then up to 12 months
Engaged prospect 24 months from last meaningful interaction
Active client or paid project As required for contract, legal, tax and accounting records
Leads register record Reviewed every 90 days for staleness
Firms register record Reviewed every 6 months and refreshed periodically
Opt-out / suppression record Kept long-term (minimum record only) to prevent further contact

Suppression and Opt-Out

Anyone can object to direct marketing at any time. To opt out:

When someone opts out, we stop using their details for direct marketing and add the minimum necessary information to a suppression list. We retain that suppression record specifically to prevent future contact — it is not used for any other purpose.

Internal Safeguards

NextEdge maintains internal records for each lead, including:

  • Contact source URL and date collected
  • Date first contacted and whether this notice was provided
  • Lawful basis and opt-out status
  • Retention review date and date last refreshed
  • Whether the contact is a corporate or business contact
  • Whether a private applicant has been excluded from outreach

The workflow:

  • Targets boutique residential opportunities of four dwellings or fewer only
  • Excludes commercial, public-sector and volume development
  • Prefers generic or role-based business contacts
  • Only uses named business emails if publicly listed as business contacts
  • Does not use private personal contact details from planning PDFs
  • Does not contact private homeowners
  • Does not copy, download, reuse or reproduce copyrighted planning drawings
  • Uses planning documents only to understand public project context
  • Respects website restrictions, robots.txt and rate limits
  • Marks missing information as "Not found" rather than guessing
  • Verifies planning facts against official sources where possible

Legitimate Interests Assessment — Summary

Purpose test: We use limited business contact information to promote NextEdge's services to relevant businesses and professionals connected to boutique residential property projects.

Necessity test: We need limited business contact information to identify and contact relevant firms. Generic or role-based contacts are preferred. Named business contacts are only used where publicly listed.

Balancing test: The impact is limited because the information is business-related, the outreach is targeted, private homeowners are avoided, the email identifies NextEdge clearly, and recipients can opt out at any time.

ICO Data Protection Fee

NextEdge reviews whether it is required to pay the ICO data protection fee and keeps this under review as its data-processing activities develop.

  • Email providers
  • CRM or spreadsheet tools
  • Cloud storage providers
  • Website hosting providers
  • Analytics tools
  • AI or research tools used to organise publicly available business and project information
